Valerian Root and Blue Vervain are combined in the perfect formula to calm the nervous system and promote relaxation and tranquility.
Valerian Root has been used as a medicinal herb since at least the time of ancient Greece and Rome. Its therapeutic uses were described by Hippocrates, and in the 2nd century, Galen prescribed Valerian for insomnia. In the 16th century, it was used to treat nervousness, trembling, headaches, and heart palpitations. Valerian allays pain and promotes sleep. Valerian has been used as a sleep aid for over 1,000 years. Its ability to help relax the central nervous system, promote feelings of calm, decrease levels of anxiety and stress, and enhance sleep are known to millions the world over.
Blue Vervain is edible and medicinal. Vervain had many uses in Native American culture as food and medicine. Blue Vervain has been called a natural tranquilizer and is used as an anti-periodic for nervous problems. It can also be used for insomnia and other nervous conditions. Used historically as a mild sedative and for lung ailments, Blue Vervain nourishes the digestive, nervous and respiratory systems. It is especially helpful for nervous tension and used specifically for anxiety and nervous exhaustion that follows long term stress.
Because this formula is gentle and natural, there is no drowsiness and grogginess usually associated with the use of traditional sleeping aids and anti-anxiety medications.
